Discover the Tannenberg Memorial

The Tannenberg Memorial, built between 1924 and 1927 near Hohenstein (now Olsztynek, Poland), was dedicated to commemorating the battles of World War I, particularly the Battle of Tannenberg. As the burial site of Paul von Hindenburg, it later transformed into a Reich memorial under the Nazi regime. Despite its historical significance, it was destroyed in 1945, leaving only remnants of its grand design. Explore the story behind this monumental structure and its ideological implications.
